  • TOALITE™ is adapted to naturally breakdown back into nature in both active aerobic and anaerobic conditions, such as landfills and soil environments. (Active means that bacteria and microbes are present and eating resources.)

TOALITE™ Applications

TOALITE™ is the eco-friendly alternative to EPS for a wide range of applications including:

TOALITE™ focuses on recyclability and sustainability, unlike EPS, which is difficult to recycle and often ends up in landfills and lasts for hundreds or even thousands of years.

TOALITE™ vs polystyrene foam (EPS)

TOALITE™ supports environmental sustainability by fitting into existing recycling streams and is adapted to naturally breakdown back into nature in soil or landfills.

Compared to EPS, TOALITE™ is more durable, flexible, and impact-resistant, suitable for repeated uses, and recyclable through PP streams, thus making it eco-friendly. Unlike EPS, which is less durable and often non-recyclable, leading to significant pollution.

What makes TOALITE™ more recyclable than EPS?

TOALITE™ is made by applying heat, pressure, and gas to expand, forming a foam.

TOALITE™ is recyclable because it’s a thermoplastic without chemical foaming agents, meaning TOALITE™ can be remelted back into polypropylene and reshaped multiple times. EPS, on the other hand, uses chemical foaming agents to turn it into foam, which prevents it from being easily remelted for recycling.

TOALITE™ highlights the importance of choosing the right materials that support eco-friendly manufacturing and disposal practices.

  • Using a global network of and dedicated TOALITE™ bead manufacturers and processors using our proprietary ingredient blends, we have built a scalable infrastructure to supply low and high volume demand.

    We have our own processing partner facility in Guangdong Province China for producing and moulding our TOALITE™ beads into custom-made parts.

  • Our TOALITE™ beads are produced with advances in processing techniques using gas and high pressure instead of chemical compounds used in conventional foaming processes.

    This makes our TOALITE™ beads more environmentally friendly and recyclable. Our TOALITE™ is a thermoplastic, so it can be re-melted and re-processed to make new polypropylene products. All TOALITE™ grades benefit from TOTO-TOA®’s Bio-Adaptive™ Technology.

  • TOTO-TOA® offers a paid sampling program allowing brands and manufacturers to sample in small to medium size volumes. Samples can be procured rapidly in beads or sample parts. For larger sampling requests or custom parts, please contact sales@toa.eco
